GE’s global campaign to accelerate the fight against cancer kicked off earlier this month—along with $1 billion in R&D spending over the next five years, GE and several venture capital partners announced a $100 million open innovation challenge to find and fund the best ideas for improving breast cancer diagnostics and previewed several new healthcare technologies.
Our friends at the GE Show took a hands on approach to demonstrating how GE’s medical imaging technologies—from CT to PET to SPECT—work, by highlighting the principle of tomography, which takes images of body “slices” to allow doctors to see inside the body without a scalpel. Check it out, it’s hypnotic!
