GE Aviation’s factory will create jobs in Mississippi

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour and other officials helped GE Aviation dedicate its new jet engine component factory near Batesville. The workforce at the 300,000-square-foot facility is expected to exceed 100 within the next few years. The plant will produce advanced composite engine components, which are unique in the aviation industry.
