GE to transform Indian healthcare

GE Healthcare recently released the first digital flat panel based X-ray system in India called the “Tejas DR-F.” The new Tejas DR-F will cost 40 percent less than imported digital x-ray systems and will reduce radiation. The product will be manufactured in Bangalore, India.

If there is no regulatory requirement in India to phase out the 2-pulse X-ray technology, the digital flat panel x-ray will not take-off as per forecast.
The average Indian living in India does consider radiation, as there are other major problems such as poverty and pollution to name a few.
The healthcare system in India cannot be compared with that of Americas. A better market area has to be identified for this superior GE product.
