Is GE going to combine all their Waukesha distributors with their Jenbacher distributors? Or are they going to pick and choose Internationally the way they did Domestically by keeping only two for the North American continent?

I am a former GE employee from Ft. Wayne, IN who has relocated to Texas; I have applied for positions with the new plant (trains). How long does it take to get feedback?

I am currently a medical student and will graduate in July of 2012. I reside in Sharonville, Ohio and have noticed that there are GE positions available here in Evendale. How long does feedback about my eligibility take? My landlord and her husband are both retired GE employees and have nothing but wonderful things to say about GE. I would love to make this company my employment home.

There was a recent article in our local paper that indicated the GE Energy Controls division in Salem, VA would have about 65 openings but I can not find any of these positions on your website or any other career website. My father worked and retired from GE in Salem, VA and I know GE is an outstanding company so I am very interested in these positions. Any idea when the openings will be posted for these postions ?
    Thanks,

To those that have applied, please be aware that if the job that you are applying for has posted any “requirements” that your experience/degree does not meet, then your application will never be seen by the hiring manager. HR will not present an application to the hiring manager if all requirements are not met.

This can be unfortunate. E.g., GE would not have hired a ‘Steve Jobs’, nor a ‘Bill Gates’, if the job they had applied for required any sort of college degree.

The hiring manager does have the option of writing the request in such a manner that qualified people could apply if they are careful to craft the position requirements with verbage such as, requires a Masters Degree or equivalent experience.
