We would do much better to conserve energy, than invest in incredibly expensive wind power. If the government paid for us to change our lightbulbs to low-watt consumption ones, that would be a far better use of resources. Check out this presentation by a physicist near the Maple Ridge wind farm...

I did a lot of research into wind energy companies when recently looking into investing in a company that is on the cutting edge of producing wind generation equipment. There certainly is a big need to go another direction for the energy needs of the general populace. Oil for a long time has been a cheap way to provide the energy needs of the world but at what cost has it come? The need for oil will not be completely eliminated but there has to be drastic changes to provide the energy needs of the future. I am very new to investing but I was very impressed with the diversity that GE has in providing energy efficiency in the transportation and energy production sectors. Does GE make solar panels for the domestic market? I have interst in equiping my humble abode with solar panels. Thank you for your time. Sincerely Dan Hazen long time loyal customer and recent investor.

Well, when governments are giving away free money, I guess it's hard to turn it down.

But what happens when European taxpayers get tired of subsidizing expensive wind power?

Hopefully, you won't build too much fixed cost into this business...
