Jay Leno makes the move to primetime

Finally, the hilarity of late night TV without having to worry about those wretched bags under your eyes the next morning. The late night landscape shifted yesterday as the NBC team announced that Jay Leno, host of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” will be moving to a new comedy/talk show five nights a week during NBC’s 10 p.m. timeslot. The move makes NBC the first broadcast network to air the same show in primetime five nights a week. After Jay’s departure, Conan O’Brien will take the reins as the next (and fifth overall), host of the 55-year-old late night staple.
