Prof. Bruce Nussbaum on design, tech & emotion

In our story this morning about GE’s “Adventure Series” program, which tackles the anxiety that children feel when undergoing an MRI scan, the focus was on the real impact that design can play in healthcare technology. That was the subject of today’s “Health by Design” panel discussion, which was held at GE’s healthymagination technology showcase in Midtown Manhattan. At the showcase, we caught up with panel member Bruce Nussbaum, Professor of Innovation and Design at Parsons The New School for Design, who underscored the emotional connection that’s made when people engage with technology.

And for the record, that “espresso machine” that Bruce likes is GE’s MabSelect SuRe, which purifies antibody drugs that are used to fight cancers and autoimmune diseases. But he’s right – it does look sharp!
