To define Immelt just think of the word HYPROCRITE =

1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

It is not black or white.
I have worked for GE and for other companies as well. At GE You can learn a lot, You can earn more than at other companies etc. but You have to work hard, big competation between the employees, American GE totally differs from other plants, offices around the World and so on.
But what the Boss has said in his speech, I can agree and I wish GE please act in this way. It should be a common benefit.

Jeffrey Immelt, GE CEO:
“Era Of Meanness, Greed Drawing to End.”

GE just had to pay a $50 million fine for their financial manipulations in the early part of the decade.

“In a blow to its reputation as a finance paragon, GE settles SEC fraud claims related to hedge accounting and revenue recognition.”

This time the taxpayers had to bail them out.

I find it comical that Immelt has the effrontery to address leadership at the Military Academy. If these future military leaders follow the Immelt model in short order their troops will be using them for target practice. Immelt’s statement regarding “…we know how to win.” must be referring to other companies like Apple and Google, certainly not his GE.

So all of us investors who bought your stock are also mean and greedy? They should tax you first ! You should resign: “no imagination (and no brain) at work” here. You should move to North Korea, Cuba or Iran if you dislike Capitalism so much.

Wait, you want big dividends but no outsourcing? You cant have your cake and eat it too.

Outsourcing = lower cost margin which means bigger profits and bigger future dividend payments.

Immelt how can you renew the “American” Leadership? For Examples: 1. You take American jobs and out source these jobs to India and China. 2. Your every day lies after lies. 3. Dishonest person and 4. The WORLD does NOT believe any word you say. 5. Since you took over GE….it’s has gone down the hill….Let’s say “OVER THE HILL”!

Please out source your job to a person how can do it better than you!
