Happy Halloween! Editors at our sister site Txchnologist just 3-D printed this grumpy pumpkin in a brand new MakerBot Replicator 2. They filmed the process and turned it into an animated GIF. Thingiverse maker Steve Campbell uploaded the model.
The National Museum of American History also posted a list of “11 collection objects giving us the creeps this Halloween.” They include this GE Halloween Light bulb manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s. Hal Wallace, associate curator in the Division of Work and Industry, told the museum’s blog that “the jack-o’-lantern design is printed in such a way that it works whether the bulb is installed base-up or base-down.”
Either way look at it, it will scare you!
